damian leach

Bajan-born, award-winning chef Damian Leach’s passion for cooking was first ignited from as young as 13 years old.

Since achieving his Le Grand Diplôme from Le Cordon Bleu in Canada, he’s taken the island by culinary storm, working across renowned restaurants such as The Cliff & Tapas amongst other local foodie havens. During his time at Tapas, he was quickly promoted to Sous Chef within his first year and soon after Head Chef, spending 6 years here before joining the CK team.

Chef damian achieved the title of Barbados Chef of the Year in 2016.

Chef Damian was then selected to represent the island at the annual CHTA Taste of The Caribbean competition held in Miami, Florida. Here, he won Gold and the highly sought after CHTA Caribbean Chef of the Year title, making him one of only three Barbadian chefs to hold the prestigious title. He then finished off 2016 by winning NIFCA Chef of the Year and was the recipient of The Governor General’s Award of Excellence.
